Living in the shadow of the real thing, Run in the Shadow (formerly known as UK Fleetwood Mac) are a high calibre, professional tribute act made up of some of the highest quality musicians in the country. They have come together to re-create the sound, look and feel of Fleetwood Mac with all members playing 100% live, dedicated to delivering a show as close to the real thing as possible!
Run in the Shadow have spent a huge amount of time carefully recreating the look, sound and playing style of their favourite band, so audiences can revel in the attention to detail and delight in a sound noted by many as 'just like the actual Fleetwood Mac'. With a huge wealth of experience of theatre shows, bars and festivals, you can be sure they will fully entertain the crowds wherever you might find them.
The band also feature on the Dreams of FM theatre tour presented by Sweeney Entertainments.
Meet the members of the band below, see them playing on one of the videos and find out if they are performing in a show near you soon.
Amy is a music teacher from the Midlands who plays piano, guitar, violin, oboe and sings. She has performed in various ensembles including the North Devon Sinfonia; the British Police Symphony Orchestra; Devon Teacher’s Rock Choir; The People’s Orchestra; various Cardiff University ensembles; and other smaller jazz, classical, theatre and popular groups. Her career highlight is featuring on Matt's Christmas song Pigs In Blankets!
After a decade behind the decks as the resident DJ at Snobs Nightclub in Birmingham, Matt now works as a musician and photographer. He was known to play Fleetwood Mac every night as a DJ and now puts that experience to use playing with Run in the Shadow. He also writes and records original songs under his nom-de-plume 'Elison' in a very similar way to the real Lindsey Buckingham and his fifth album Turning Sleeping into Art has just been released.
Molly is a singer and a songwriter. Over the years she has performed with many bands and gigged over the country as well as in Europe and has recently graduated university studying vocals. As well as gigging with bands, Molly is establishing herself as a solo artist within the dance field and has surpassed four million plays on Spotify after having been signed to a multi album recording deal. This is going so well for her we have had to take on another Stevie!
Hattie is a singer songwriter inspired by past decades and has music out on all streaming platforms. She has performed all over West Sussex with several bands and has recently made an appearance on a popular television program on ITV. She also puts weekly song covers on her social media platforms.
Hattie is currently getting involved with lots of different musical projects as well as hoping to travel all over the world to showcase her vocal talents.
The first bass riff Ali learnt to play back in the 80s was “that riff” from The Chain. Fast forward to now and he has become an in-demand tribute player with a knack for mimicking the feel of other revered bassists such as John Taylor (Duran Duran), Guy Berryman (Coldplay) and Chris Wolstenholme (Muse) and the groove of John McVie is no exception. Ali also plays for Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd) in her international band and is endorsed by the Bass Centre as one of their Elites Artists.
Paul is a talented guitarist and bassist, having chosen to concentrate on the bass and has become a regular sight in bands across the Midlands. Amazingly, he has now married our Christine McVie in order to try and not only get a place in the band, but also to make us the most authentic tribute ever! We applaud him of course, but it is a little short sighted as to be truly authentic they will of course have to divorce. Just joking of course, we couldn't be happier for them.
Jason’s playing started in school when he got lessons from his friend, it didn’t take long before he bought the drum notation for the “Mothership” album by Led Zeppelin. Now a regular sight on many a stage, his passion for Fleetwood Mac came about when he heard the drum solo from “Tusk” and he now channels that “get up and dance” feel at the live shows that everyone loves! Recently he set up Gumbley's Music School to pass on his vast experience to the next generation.
Self-taught from the age of 8, after moving to the midlands to pursue a career in music, Marcus Webb has had experience playing lead/rhythm guitar and singing backing vocals in a variety of professional bands and duos, including the reformation of the popular Coventry based 60’s band The Sorrows, playing alongside hit singer Don Fardon and playing on their most recent record.
Dave has been playing the piano and keyboards for over 30 years. He has had the honour to play with a multitude of talented and professional musicians who have been associated with Edwin Starr, The Drifters, Martha Reeves, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, UB40 and The Specials to name but a few. Dave has been involved with a huge number of bands and projects playing to audiences of up to 10000 strong!

Two of our team are from Portsmouth and Hattie was born there so we had a brilliant time playing The King's Theatre on Friday 20th September to what was our biggest theatre crowd so far. Such an amazing venue filled with a beautiful crowd, we cannot wait to return.

We have just got back from a lovely few days in the emerald isle as we played shows on Friday and Saturday in Malahide and Curraghmore and had two of the best outdoor gigs of our lives. Such great people and an amazing place that we hope to get back to soon.

Saturday saw us perform at the Wick Street Festival as Dreams of FM in a massive big top for the first time. it was an absolute pleasure, partly thanks to our old friends LP Music Ltd on sound. Certainly a festival we expect to grow and one we hope to do again in the future.
Some official studio shots of the band and a series of our regular audience participation pictures taken at the majority of the shows we play. Here is the full gallery.
